2018 NFL Mock Draft: Complete first round post NFL Combine
Needs: OG, DL, WR
The Atlanta Falcons are in a loaded NFC South division where finishing 10-6 puts you in third place. The Falcons have their franchise quarterback in Matt Ryan, and tailback in Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman. Wide Receiver Julio Jones is another star in the NFL on the Falcons roster.
The defense is Dan Quinn’s specialty and the Falcons could use a playmaker at defensive tackle. That playmaker will be University of Florida defensive tackle Taven Bryan. Bryan has had some great defensive coaching at Florida and that won’t change in Atlanta.
Bryan measured in at 6-foot-4 and 291 pounds. He ran a 4.98 in the 40-yard dash, and a 4.48 20-yard shuttle which is impressive at 290 plus pounds. Bryan also jumped 35 inches in the vertical and 119 inches in the broad jump while putting up 30 bench reps at 225 pounds.
While he doesn’t have the eye-popping stats of Miami’s RJ McIntosh or others that will be drafted behind him, this is a pick based on his pro potential, which remains very high.
