3. Who steps up at wide receiver?
The receiving corps look to return a couple of quality pieces, but John Diarse (No. 2 on the team) and Desmon White (No. 3) are both gone. That’s 999 yards and eight touchdowns on 76 catches to replace, but luckily one of the top wide outs on the team from a year ago, Jalen Reagor, was just a freshman.
Reagor finished with the most receiving yards on the team with 576 to go along with eight touchdown catches and 33 receptions. He’s slightly undersized at 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds but he could be a good slot option. He will need to step up as the No. 1 target.
Another returning piece is senior KaVontae Turpin had 41 receptions for 394 yards and a touchdown. He could also push for the No. 1 target after leading the team in receptions a year ago. He had 650 receiving yards as a freshman and eight touchdown catches so he has the potential to go off, but he needs to remain consistent.
Will there be another under-the-radar receiver stepping up this spring? Jarrison Stewart, Dylan Thomas, Jaelan Austin and incoming freshman Taye Barber are all options.
