2018 NFL Mock Draft: Complete first round after pro days, trades
Needs: EDGE, CB, OL
The Tennessee Titans have a new head football coach in Mike Vrabel. Vrabel was a jack of all trades linebacker for the New England Patriots for most of his career excelling at harassing quarterbacks both via his pass rush abilities and his pass coverage technique. Vrabel ended his fourteen season run in the NFL with 57 sacks and 11 interceptions.
In my previous mock I had the Titans drafting an offensive guard but after signing Josh Kline Vrabel will look to draft his protegé. Harold Landry, the former Boston College Eagle pass rusher, fits the Vrabel mold.
Landry has the athleticism to drop into coverage while having the size and speed to rush the passer in the NFL. He has been up and down draft boards from the middle of the first to the middle of the second round but at 6-foot-3 and 259 pounds I see him fitting the strong side linebacker role for the Titans.
Landry tested extremely well at the Combine running a 4.64 in the 40 yard dash, and scoring a broad jump of 119 inches and a vertical jump of 36 inches. His quickness was next level as well, clocking in at 4.19 in the 20 yard shuttle. He will be an immediate starter with the Titans.
