1. Is Kelly Bryant ready to take the next step?
The quarterback room got a little less crowded this offseason as Zerrick Cooper announced his transfer, but that leaves two All-American caliber backups behind Kelly Bryant.
The first is Hunter Johnson who was a freshman in 2017, completing 21-of-27 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns. He could be the ‘next man up’ under center for the Tigers and you probably wouldn’t hear a complaint from anyone.
Incoming freshman and No. 1 player in the country Trevor Lawrence will be a strong competitor this spring and if he can show that he’s learned the playbook and can read college-level defenses while keeping a calm demeanor, you may hear people calling for him to be the eventual replacement for Bryant.
Is Bryant ready to take that next step, though? He will have some great players pushing him, so that could help, but will he be at a Heisman-like level as Deshaun Watson was before him?

The growth of Bryant will be something to keep an eye on this spring as the potential and talent are both there.
