Most of the speculation surrounding the Texas A&M receiving corps is nothing more than educated guesses as to who steps up this year. The departures of All-American versatile receiver Christian Kirk, and the second leading pass catcher from 2017, Damion Ratley.

The main spotlight in the receiving corps is falling on two rising sophomores, Jhamon Ausbon and Camron Buckley. While the two best corners are likely to cover both Ausbon and Buckley in the spring game, there’s another name that could slip under the radar.

With the attention falling to other guys in the passing game, another rising sophomore receiver in Roshauud Paul could breakout here. Paul got some exposure in game action during his freshman campaign, just not as much as either Ausbon or Buckley.

In 2017, Paul reeled in 16 catches for 187 yards. His best individual performance came against the New Mexico Lobos, where he caught seven passes for 129 yards. If Paul can replicate that sort of performance with Mond quarterbacking his offense, he’ll be in for a huge spring game.
