The most heartbreaking defeat of the 2017 season for the Rebels came against the Hogs on Oct. 28. A one point loss kept Ole Miss from achieving a winning record with all odds against them. However, Arkansas completed a wild comeback capped off by a game-winning field goal in the fourth quarter.

This was possibly the best performance of 2017 for rising sophomore quarterback Cole Kelley. Many expect Kelley to be the Week 1 starter for Arkansas in 2018, when they take on Eastern Illinois. However, Kelley could get pushed by competing quarterbacks like Ty Storey and incoming freshman four-star prospect Connor Noland.

If Kelley is up and rolling by the time the Arkansas vs. Ole Miss contest comes around, this is going to be a tough one for the Rebels to pull out on the road. Even though this game comes away from the usual home stadium for the Hogs, War Memorial Stadium still counts as their home turf. It’s where Arkansas took part in their spring game.

The main thing to watch here is the matchup between a very talented Ole Miss offense, including a dangerous passing attack, against an Arkansas secondary that struggled to stop anything last year. If Arkansas is stout in the secondary here, they easily have the ability to walk away with the win.
