The first time that Arkansas has a home game on this list also comes against the only SEC East opponent too. The last time the Hogs and Vanderbilt Commodores met up came way back in 2011, resulting in a three point victory in favor of Arkansas.

Arkansas currently owns a three-game winning streak over Vandy, that dates all the way back to 2006. These two teams are very different entering the 2018 campaign. Vandy has their quarterback situation set, while Arkansas does not. And, there’s an established head coach in Nashville, Tenn., for the Commodores, while Arkansas does not either.

More than likely, Arkansas should be the odds on favorite to win this game at this point of the regular season. They get Vandy at home, and have a tough run before this point. Arkansas also gets this matchup at a very favorable time of the schedule. The week before, Arkansas faces Tulsa, and they get a bye week immediately following.

It’ll be interesting to see where Arkansas is at by this point in the season. If they’re firmly in contention to land a solid bowl game, they should come out with their best effort. However, if they only have three or four wins entering Oct. 27, the effort should be even more desperate. Either way, that tactic falls in favor of the Hogs.
