NFL Mock Draft 2018: Complete 7-Round projections
With their backfield solidified and the receiving corps ripe with young talent, the Tennessee Titans must look to bulk up the offensive line with their first pick of the 2018 NFL Draft. The Titans boast a powerful combination of Taylor Lewan and Jack Conklin on the outside but the interior is less than impressive.
Guards Quinton Spain and Josh Cline as well as center Ben Jones have all been adequate, which necessitates improvement when juxtaposed against the successes of the two tackles. Iowa center/guard James Daniels provides flexibility, depth and one more competitor to improve the offensive line in Tennessee.
Daniels is quick out of his stance and comfortable with zone blocking schemes. His strength compared to guys like Billy Price will knock him down the draft board, but at No. 25 overall heβs still a great value pick for Tennessee.
New head coach Mike Vrabel is a product of the Bill Belichick coaching tree which preaches versatility. Daniels can play all three interior line spots, a trait which will undoubtedly pique the interests of Vrabel and give the Titans flexibility moving forward.
