Pick Analysis. Offensive Guard. 26. player. 44. Scouting Report. Georgia. Isaiah Wynn

Rather than fall victim to the curse of Super Bowl losers missing the playoffs, the Atlanta Falcons made it past Wild Card weekend and came close to a trip to the NFC Championship Game last season. The Falcons roster has some gaps, but no true holes enabling them to snag a player that might have fallen further down the boards than expected.

That player could be Georgia offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn. A true grinder in the trenches, Wynn’s steadiness allowed true freshman quarterback to stay upright, not missing a beat when he was inserted into the lineup with Jacob Eason‘s injury. Although he spent time at both guard and tackle at Georgia, Wynn projects as a guard at the next level.

Wynn doesn’t often lose one on one battles. Falcons Matt Ryan isn’t over the hill quite yet, but the deeper into his career he goes, the more the Falcons need to think about protecting their franchise passer. Wynn might not be the most flashy selection, but he could be the piece who strengths a Falcon offense that was up and down last season.
