. player. Pick No. 15. Arizona Cardinals. 3. 32. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

From one Cardinals squad potentially to another, Jackson’s scheme fit with the Arizona Cardinals is very intriguing. Arizona lost their starting quarterback from the past five seasons in USC Trojans product Carson Palmer. It was time for the Cardinals to find a new answer under center either way.

Even if Arizona did get Palmer back for 2018, he’s dealt with declining effectiveness and injury issues for the past four seasons. He played in less than half of the regular season games for Arizona in 2014 and 2017. Palmer knew it was time for both parties to move on after the 2017 campaign.

Now, the Cardinals have an immediate fill to the opening at quarterback for this upcoming regular season in former Minnesota Vikings signal caller Sam Bradford. Yet, Minnesota liquidated their top three passers from the 2017 roster early in the off-season. Teddy Bridgewater is with the New York Jets and Case Keenum is with the Denver Broncos.

This pick also sounds nice because the 15th selection seems like a realistic point for Jackson to fall off the board in the first round. He could learn under a savvy veteran, and former Heisman Trophy winner, in Bradford for a year or two before taking the reigns of the Arizona offense altogether.
