player. 35. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Defensive End. Boston College. Harold Landry. 1

Pick 9, No. 41 overall

The Tennessee Titans are having a sensational start to their first draft under new head coach Mike Vrabel. They traded up in the first round, jumping in front of the New England Patriots to select Alabama linebacker Rashaan Evans. They moved up again in the second round, also to get in front of the Pats to select defensive end Harold Landry.

Landry was a consensus first round player until medical concerns, which had been kept under wraps from the media entering the draft, saw him fall down the boards. Potential concerns with his knee and shoulder scared a host of teams away. If Landry’s health issues catch up to him the Titans will regret this pick, however, grabbing some one with Landry’s burst off the edge this late in the draft is incredible value.

Landry was in play at the first pick of the second round, but the Cleveland Browns elected to go offensive line. The Titans had to trade up to get him, but the cost was more than worth it if he’s able to stay healthy.
