Unlike David Long, it won’t take too much effort for David Sills V to convince NFL scouts he’s worthy of a first round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The breakout campaign that he had last season, getting both All-Big 12 and All-American honors, proves his worth as an NFL receiver.

The problem will be getting his stock above fellow 2019 wide receivers like Ole Miss Rebels’ A.J. Brown, South Carolina Gamecocks’ Deebo Samuel, and Arizona State Sun Devils’ N’Keal Harry. This is another thin receiver class altogether, though, which will play to Sills V’s advantage.

The area in which Sills V presents the most value is in the red zone. His crisp route running ability combined with sure hands will make him a considerable threat at the next level. Sills V also has the physical tools needed, at 6-foot-3, to standout against NFL competition.

This is also an efficient wide receiver that somehow manages to sneak past defenders and get large yardage chunks all at once. He’s the best wide receiver that the Mountaineers have coming back this year, and also the best NFL Draft prospect at the position. That says a lot considering Gary Jennings, Marcus Simms, and T.J. Simmons are all so talented.
