2. DK Metcalf, AJ Brown may be college football’s best WR duo

This should come as no surprise, but DK Metcalf and AJ Brown may combine to form the best receiver duo in college football this upcoming season. The two pass-catchers, each entering their junior seasons, have loads of potential and showed that this spring.

Many believe Brown is the best receiver prospect in the 2019 draft and easily the best slot-type wide out in the nation. He has explosiveness and impressive hands. He is tough to corral in open space and his 75 catches for 1,252 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2017 was proof of that. He is already forming an impressive connection with Jordan Ta’amu.

As for Metcalf, he has a little bigger of a frame, standing 6-4 and 225 pounds. He had 39 catches for 646 yards and seven touchdowns in 2017 and is slowly becoming the clear No. 2 option behind Brown. The two wide outs are forming an elite duo that may not be matched in college football.

During the spring game, Ta’amu and Meltcalf looked to be on the same page throughout, connecting for a couple of touchdowns.

If there’s a better receiver duo in college football, I’m not sure who it’d be.
