Offense

Rutgers has gone through a bevy of offensive coordinators over the past few years and in comes another one in 2018 with the addition of John McNulty.

McNulty returns to Piscataway from the professional ranks after spending two seasons as the tight ends coach for the Los Angeles Chargers.

This is the second time McNulty will serve as the Rutgers offensive coordinator. During the 2007-08 season, he held the exact same position.

In that year, Rutgers had some of their best players in the modern era suit up in the Scarlet and White including a 3,000+ yard passer (quarterback Mike Teel), a 2,000+ yard rusher (Ray Rice) and receivers Kenny Britt and Tiquan Underwood, who hauled in a combined 15 touchdown catches.

Last season, the Rutgers offense was one of the worst in the Big Ten. It ranked last in passing efficiency in both 2016 and 2017, but on the bright side, this means it can’t get any worse than it already was.

Key Losses: Janarion Grant, Robert Martin, Gus Edwards
