Arkansas Football: 5 reasons Chad Morris can turn Razorbacks around

1. New coaching staff

Joining Chad Morris on the hill in Fayetteville is offensive coordinator Joe Craddock and defensive coordinator John Chavis. The former spent the last three seasons at SMU with Morris, along with Justin Stepp (receivers coach) Dustin Fry (offensive line coach) and strength and conditioning coach Trumain Carroll.

Chavis was formerly the defensive coordinator for Texas A&M, which works in Arkansas’s favor to have someone with that specific knowledge. Chavis has spent the better part of two decades well immersed in defensive tactics of the SEC.

Say what you will about Morris jumping into the toughest conference in college football, he is ready. Whether he’s going to go “Full tilt boogie” or get into the left lane and “Put the hammer down” this is sure to be a step in the right direction for the Razorbacks this season.
