College Football: Ranking the 10 best modern uniforms

Michigan State is one of the best, if not the best team to make use of the green and white color combination and in recent years, have tinkered with new designs. Between white and green helmets and other variations to the uniforms, the Spartans usually always come out with a new design each season.

Undoubtedly one of their best was the alternate white uniforms worn in 2012. At the turn of the decade, chrome helmets were becoming a more popular choice among teams and Michigan State’s were awesome.

Very fittingly, the shiny chrome helmets are reflective much like the metallic look of an actual Spartan helmet. Naturally, having a Spartan as a team mascot makes for some cool uniform design ideas.

The helmet stands out from the white jersey and pants. The jersey kept the modern feel of a Michigan State jersey including its jagged-like font and also included the green shoulder cap which goes well with the rest of the outfit.
