Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree made up the leading duo of one of the best seasons the Red Raiders have had this century. The pair flourished in Mike Leach’s patented air raid offense.
In his Texas Tech career, Crabtree was a touchdown machine. He made 231 catches for 3,127 yards and 41 touchdowns. His career touchdown total is the most in Texas Tech football history. He also has the most receiving touchdowns in a single season with 22 (in 2007) and the most receiving yards in a single season with 1,962 (also in 2007).
One of the most renown catches of the 2000s is the Harrell to Crabtree touchdown that allowed Texas Tech to knock off the No. 1 ranked Texas Longhorns in 2008.
Harrell completing shredded defenses through the air as he recorded at least 4,000 passing yards in three different seasons.
He completed 1,403 career passes for an astounding 15,793 passing yards and 134 touchdowns. Harrell holds a Texas Tech-career best in passing yards and passing touchdowns.
