College Football: Top 15 running backs entering 2018, ranked

He came to FAU as a low three-star recruit, standing all of 5-foot-9, 165 pounds. When he leaves, he’ll be the first FAU player to earn AP All-America honors.

It’s impossible to overstate how good Devin Singletary was in 2017. The diminutive junior was unstoppable for much of the season, rushing for 1,918 yards and 32 scores. Those two numbers were good for fourth and first in the nation, respectively, and were more than enough for him to lock up Conference USA’s MVP award. He eclipsed 100 yards rushing twelve times on the season, and topped 200 yards rushing twice (in two consecutive games!).

Could he possibly top those numbers in 2018? Who knows? One thing is for sure: with Singletary in the backfield and Lane Kiffin on the sideline, Florida Atlantic has a chance to make some big-time noise in 2018. Who could have ever anticipated reading that sentence?
