Remember that high school running back class of 2017 we were talking about earlier? Well, here’s another entry.

Dobbins was a total stud in his true freshman season at Ohio State. He burst onto the scene with a 181-yard effort in the Buckeyes’ opener against Indiana, and never really slowed down from there. He nearly matched that effort twice, once against Army (172 yards on a ludicrous 13.2 yards per carry), and again in the Big Ten championship against Wisconsin (174 yards on 10.2 yards per carry).

J.T. Barrett has departed, so Dobbins is going to be the focal point of Ohio State’s offense in 2018. If his freshman year was any indication, he’ll handle that increased workload just fine. He’s already been tabbed as one of the top Heisman candidates this offseason.

The craziest thing? Dobbins isn’t even the top-ranked member of the freshman class of 2017 on this list.
