With all the uber-talented members of the running back class of 2017, one could talk themselves into pretty much any of the bunch having the best college career. One thing that isn’t up for debate? Jonathan Taylor had the most impressive season of them all in 2017.

The true freshman became the Badgers’ workhorse in the backfield in game two against Florida Atlantic, where he ran for 223 yards and three touchdowns. From there, he eclipsed the 200-yard mark twice more during the season and ended up with 1,977 yards on the ground and 13 touchdowns. That yardage mark was good for third in the NCAA and first in the Big Ten.

What’s next for Taylor after finishing sixth in the Heisman voting in 2017? Undoubtedly serving as the linchpin of the Wisconsin offense once again, and trying to help the Badgers win their first Big Ten championship since 2012.
