25. No. 19 Texas A&M falls to No. 5 Missouri, 52-31

Nov. 30, 2013

Manziel’s final regular season game came on the road against the No. 5 Missouri Tigers. Mizzou had trampled through a weakened SEC East, but they hadn’t played any quarterback as dynamic as Manziel. Coming off a gut wrenching loss to LSU for the second year in a row, Texas A&M was looking to avoid losing back-to-back games for the first time under Manziel.

From start to finish it was clear the Aggies couldn’t find any sort of rhythm. Texas A&M and Missouri were a combined 14-of-33 on third down, relying on chunk plays to rack up yardage and set up scoring opportunities.

Both teams stayed neck and neck until Henry Josey broke off a 57-yard touchdown run with 3:35 remaining in the fourth quarter. The run electrified Foaurot Field and signaled the swift end of what had been an incredible run for the Aggies under Manziel.

The offense would follow up with a 3-and-out. Manziel’s final regular season play would be a 6-yard loss on a screen play to Mike Evans. A quiet end to what had become an illustrious Aggie career.
