The Alabama State Hornets will face off against the Auburn Tigers in week two. Alabama State finished the 2017 season with only a 5-6 record, including losses against FBS level teams UTSA and Troy. Alabama State doesn’t have the depth or ability to handle the Tigers. This is a nice week off after facing the Huskies in Atlanta.

Five weeks into the 2017 season head coach Brian Jenkins was fired and replaced by an interim coach Donald Hill-Eley. Hill-Eley was given the full-time head coaching position heading into the 2018 season. Hill-Eley, who is entering his fourth season at ASU, finished the last season winning five over six games after the Hornets rough 0-5 start.

This will be a perfect chance for the Tigers to get playing time for the two’s and three’s on the depth chart including quarterback Malik Willis, freshman Ja’Travious Whitlow, and four freshman offensive linemen serving as back-ups.

Final: Auburn 58 (2-0) – Alabama State 3
