Where he’s been

The bulk of Henry’s high school career was played at two different programs. He started out at the well-known IMG Academy before making his way to Long Beach Poly for the final two years of his high school football career. Henry was considered one of the most talented dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation throughout most of his high school career.

Coming out of Long Beach Poly, Henry held 12 offers including the one he received from Florida State. Henry had the physical tools and the potential that pretty much every major college program looked for. Among those 12 offers were the Texas Longhorns, Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan Wolverines, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Auburn Tigers.

He had the cream of the crop to pick from for his college career, and he picked what seemed like a promising school at the time. However, there were some issues with the Florida State head football coach at the time with retaining some quarterbacks that would wind up at Last Chance U.

Jimbo Fisher lost out on both De’Andre Johnson (who ended up at East Mississippi Community College) and Henry and had a ton of quarterback troubles across the board last year. Within the same year that Henry enrolled early at Florida State, he announced that he would transfer out of the program. He had an impressive spring game performance for the Noles, but never got to see the field for any actual game action.
