This may be one of the best opening weekends in college football. There are a ton of great games, but here are five of the must-watch contests.
Traditionally, opening weekend of college football has had one or two barnburners accompanied by a bunch of cupcake games meant to get the alumni and fans fired up.
This year, there are a plethora of awesome games to watch on opening weekend. I am not going to rank all ninety-freaking-two of them, First, because other people have done that already; second, because I don’t agree with their assessments. I mean, Alabama v. Louisville falls dead last?! I think it’s going to be a pretty decent game, and will show pretty quickly if Alabama deserves the preseason number one ranking.
Plus, even if you are as college-football mad as me and my colleagues here at Saturday Blitz, there is no way on you’ll be able to watch ’em all. So because I’m SUCH a kind person (don’t laugh) I offer you my picks for the best bets on opening weekend. If you only get to watch five games on opening weekend, these are the five you should turn on.
