Last Chance U star and Independence Community College kicker Nino Alibegic wasn’t too happy with his portrayal on the show.

Being on TV isn’t for everyone. Such wasn’t the case for a colorful character like Independence C.C. kicker Nino Alibegic who seemed to be perfect for Last Chance U’s Season 3, but his scenes in the show rarely made the cut.

And when they did, they weren’t exactly positive.

Alibegic, who has since committed to Hawaii, was shown a couple of times off the field hanging out with star quarterback Malik Henry as the two seemed to have a good friendship but the show didn’t expand on it. They were quite the odd couple as a star quarterback who rubbed people the wrong way and a kicker who didn’t get much love.

Speaking of not getting love, Last Chance U decided to show Nino’s worst game as his only on-field action of the season where he missed a couple of chip-shot field goals which extended a game to multiple overtimes.

Clearly, he wasn’t too happy with it nor was he pleased with the response he’d been getting from fans of the show.

It was a game against Ellsworth, a team Indy C.C. should have beaten easily, which featured Alibegic who was good enough to get looks from some of the nation’s top Division 1 programs.

All kickers go through a rough period and have tough games and it’s usually those mistakes that people remember. He wishes it was his next game that got the air time.

We have to remember the show is about the drama and the directors of Last Chance U did a fantastic job making it seem like he was a shaky kicker but in reality, he signed with an FBS team.

Sure, we could have all used some more Nino in our lives, but we will just have to follow his career off the reality TV show circuit.

Alibegic finished the 2017 season 6-for-12 on field goals and nailed 27-of-33 extra points. See, his season wasn’t all bad, folks.
