This game has the makings of a trap game. Buffalo, although not a member of a Power 5 conference, should not be overlooked.

The Bulls finished with a .500 record in 2017 but all signs point to them making a strong push to make a run at the MAC conference title. Athlon Sports, for instance, has Buffalo sliding into the No. 2 spot in the preseason conference poll.

Quarterback Tyree Jackson, who stands at a whopping 6-foot-7 and weighs 245 pounds, was limited in the number of games he played last season due to injury. Even in the eight games he did play in, Jackson threw for more than 2,000 yards and 12 touchdowns passes.

The Bulls return their receptions leader from a season ago in Anthony Johnson. In 2017, he caught 76 passes for 1,356 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Because of the Bulls downfield threat, a major key to a Rutgers victory will be to put pressure on the Buffalo offense with the pass rush.

Luckily, the game is at High Point Solutions Stadium for this one and even though Buffalo will come in upset-minded, the Scarlet Knights should be able to take home a win.

Final: Buffalo 14, Rutgers 31  (3-1)
