Following a bye week, Rutgers will enter a brutal four-game stretch, beginning with a game against a team that almost always seems to win the Big Ten West–Wisconsin.

The Badgers are fresh off an undefeated regular season. The last time Rutgers played Wisconsin was back in 2015 when the Badgers demolished the Scarlet Knights in a decisive 48-10 win.

The biggest threat to Rutgers in this matchup will be against the Heisman-caliber and breakout star Jonathan Taylor. The Rutgers defense will be challenged to step up against Taylor to stop the run game but also versus a Wisconsin offensive line that has the ability to plow through the opposition in the trenches.

In the 2015 game, Rutgers surrendered 115 yards and three rushing touchdowns for former Wisconsin running back and New Jersey native Corey Clement. Ironically enough, Taylor hails from New Jersey as well.

Rutgers is at a significant disadvantage having to face Paul Chryst‘s run-heavy offense. Rutgers labored on defense more so stopping the ground game in comparison to the passing game. The game is also being played in a typically raucous environment at Camp Randall Stadium.

This is the type of game that has the potential to get out of hand very quickly and if that happens, Rutgers will put themselves in a hole too deep to overcome. The odds will be stacked against the Scarlet Knights in this one and barring some kind of miraculous performance, it will be all Wisconsin.

Final: Wisconsin 42, Rutgers 14 (6-3, 3-3 Big Ten)
