Vanderbilt has always finished near the bottom of the SEC standings and has had its share of struggles especially in the post-James Franklin era.

The Commodores starting quarterback in 2018 will be Kyle Shurmur, the son of New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur. He is on his third year under center and had a good season last year throwing for 2,823 and 26 touchdowns.

However, this is his last year of eligibility and in this particular situation, Henry can take a year to learn the system before potentially becoming the starting quarterback.

Virginia is a team that doesn’t compete very well with the rest of the ACC and the Cavaliers made headlines when head coach Bronco Mendenhall made some brutally honest comments about his team:

“I believe we have 27 ACC-caliber football players on our roster today.” The story was first reported by The Daily Progress.

Virginia hasn’t attained a winning season since 2011 and last year’s starter, Kurt Benkert graduated. Bryce Perkins was named the starter during Spring practice and he is himself a junior college transfer–something that Henry should hope for if he opts to continue his football playing career.
