Ryan Bujcevski is yet another Australian punter, which has become very common in college football. He was ranked second among punters in his class and is also listed as a starter for the Longhorns.

Last season, Texas had the top punter in the nation in Michael Dickson, who was also from Australia. Dickson won the Ray Guy Award for college football’s top punter and was a unanimous first-team All-American. He is now with the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL competing with veteran punter Jon Ryan for the starting job.

Now, Bujcevski will look to continue with Texas’ excellence at punter and play as well or better than his cousin Dickson. According to his bio on texassports.com, he trained at the same academy as Dickson before coming to the University of Texas.

Unlike Dicker, Bujcevski is the clear starter and could be the punter for the next four seasons for Texas.

Dicker and Bujcevski are the only freshmen that will likely be starting for this Longhorns team that could be once again competing with Oklahoma, TCU and Oklahoma State to be the top team in the Big 12 Conference.
