Heading back home, the Spartans take on The Ohio State Buckeyes. The Buckeyes enter 2018 as the favorite to win the Big Ten and one of the projected teams by many to make the playoff.

The Buckeyes, like the Terrapins, endured a scandal within the program during the offseason that has left their head coach, Urban Meyer, on administrative leave. Luckily for the Buckeyes, they have the talent to support the team if Meyer was to be let go before the season begins.

The J.T. Barrett era is over and Dwayne Haskins looks to lead a highly skilled offense to glory in his first years as starter. Haskins will have the help of one-two punch backfield and a stellar defensive line. Both defenses keep they game close through the first half, but the Buckeyes’ high-powered offense is too much for the Spartans. J.K. Dobbins and Mike Webber combine for 200 yards rushing and end any chances the Spartans had at a Big Ten title.

Final: Ohio State 27, Michigan State 17. Record: 7-3 (4-3)
