In their final road game of the season, the Spartans head to Lincoln, NE to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The Cornhuskers begin 2018 with a new head coach, Scott Frost, who played for Nebraska from 1995-1997.

Frost looks to take over a Nebraska team that has been labeled a disappointment by some over the past few seasons. With just months to spare, Frost succeeded in his first recruiting class (shared with former head coach Mike Riley) and finished in the top 25 in the 2018 class rankings.

Nebraska has some kinks to work out heading into 2018 but everything should be smoothed out by season’s end when the Spartans come into town. Both the Cornhusker and Spartan defenses come up with turnovers in the first quarter, setting the tone for a late season battle. Followed by a Nebraska missed field goal, LJ Scott finds a hole midway through the third quarter and runs for a 50 yard touchdown to give the Spartans the lead. The defense finishes the game as they started as the Spartans go back to East Lansing with the win.

Final: Michigan State 30, Nebraska 26. Record: 8-3 (5-3)
