Michigan State Football: 2018 Game-By-Game Predictions
In their first road game of the season, the Spartans head to Tempe, AZ to take on the Arizona State Sun Devils. For Arizona State, they enter the 2018 season with one of the more surprising head coaching hires; Herm Edwards.
After spending 10 years off the sidelines and behind a desk at ESPN, Edwards takes on a team ready for a rebuild. Edwards brings in the new coordinators on both sides of the ball, meaning the fourth offensive coordinator and four years for Arizona State.
The Sun Devils are a team that will be a better team by season’s end. Their offensive line was one of the worst in all of college football in 2017, and the Michigan State defense should have a field day. Arizona State keeps it close through the first quarter but a big-time turnover followed by a LJ Scott touchdown run, gets the Spartans rolling as the take down the Sun Devils and head into the early season bye week, 2-0.
Final: Michigan State 37, Arizona State 17. Record: 2-0
