Coming off their bye week, Michigan State is back on the road to take on the Indiana Hoosiers. Although Indiana has finished below .500 in every season since they went 7-6 in 2007, the Hoosiers have been labeled as a “trap team” for those who travel to Bloomington to take them on. In the past two seasons at home, the Hoosiers came close to upsetting Penn State (2016) and Michigan (2017) and came away with an upset win over Michigan State (2016).

With a week off before and Central Michigan a week after, the Spartans shouldn’t fall into this trap and will have their attention focused on the Hoosiers. The Spartans get out to a double-digit lead after Brian Lewerke and LJ Scott both find the endzone on the ground. A late first half touchdown by the Hoosiers isn’t enough as Lewerke gets touchdown passes on consecutive drives to start off the second half. The Spartans come out with barely a scratch and pick up their first conference win.

Final: Michigan State 36, Indiana 13. Record: 3-0 (1-0)
