In 2017, the Nittany Lions finished 11-2 (7-2) and picked up a win over Washington in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl. One of their two losses came to the Spartans, in a game that saw a three-hour rain delay that erased all the momentum the Nittany Lions had, as Michigan State kicked a field goal as time expired to win 27-24.

For 2018, all eyes are on quarterback Trace McSorley as he leads an offense that lost several key players including running back, Saquon Barkley. But with a strong recruiting class and a talented offensive line, the Nittany Lions could have another 10-win season.

Heading into this game, nothing is going the Spartans way. Suffering a hangover from their tough loss a week ago, Michigan State heads to one of the toughest places to play against a team coming off a bye week. The Nittany Lions jump out to a two-touchdown lead and keep Lewerke on his back for most of the first half. For the second half of the game, the Spartans try chipping away at the Nittany Lion lead but it’s not enough as Michigan State drops their second game in a row.

Final: Penn State 34, Michigan State 24. Record: 4-2 (1-2)
