Wide receiver

Starters: Hunter Renfrow, Tee Higgins, Amari Rodgers, Trevion Thompson

Backups: Derion Kendrick, TJ Chase, Diondre Overton, Cornell Powell

The Tigers receiving core is full of exceptional athlete’s that have all been highly regarded in their recruiting classes. When you look at the starter’s it’s no surprise Hunter Renfrow leads the pack, and the senior will be counted on to help this unit mesh with whoever lines up at quarterback.

Tee Higgins is a speedster that averaged over twenty yards per reception last season, and I expect him to come close to those numbers again while finding paydirt six or seven times.

Amari Rodgers is another top 20 receiver from the 2017 recruiting class and while he didn’t make much of an impact last season, the departures od Deon Cain and Ray-Ray McCloud will give him plenty of opportunities to shine on game day.

Trevion Thompson is listed as the fourth starting receiver in the Clemson offense and the experienced senior will have plenty of chances to fight off the other upstarts who will be gunning for more playing time.

When you look at the backup receivers the name that really pops out is Derion Kendrick. I think Kendrick can be special in this offense from day one, and it won’t surprise me if he has a handful of touchdowns receiving, and makes an impact on special teams this year.
