1. Revenge on their mind

Never underestimate the power of revenge. Despite them having a down year, the Seminoles at least made it a game last season against Miami, which the Hurricanes won by four points on a last drive touchdown. This year it will be different.

A road game at Miami is going to be tough no question. The Seminoles are not just going to waltz into Hard Rock Stadium and blow out the Hurricanes. But Florida State will be on a redemption tour this year, looking to prove that last year was a fluke. There is too much talent on this year’s team to end up with a .500 record again.

Before last season’s Miami win, Florida State dominated Miami in seven straight victories. While Miami leads the all-time series by two games, this is a series that Florida State knows they need to start dominating again to become the top dog in the state of Florida.

The Seminoles will be looking to start a new streak this season. If they have hopes of challenging in the ACC, winning at Miami would a good way to put the rest of the conference on notice and gaining back bragging rights over their bitter rivals at the same time.
