Running Back

Starters: J.K. Dobbins, Mike Weber

Backups: Master Teague, Brian Snead

Every college football fan knows about Ohio State’s dynamic duo at running back. Weber and Dobbins were both dominant last season, and are looking to be even better in 2018. Weber finally found a final gear last year, and was able to turn six-yard gains into touchdowns unlike in his first two years.

Dobbins, as just a freshman, gashed almost every defense he played. He’s elusive, has an incredible set of moves, and finishes through contact like a much larger back. He struggled with breaking away from the pack and creating massive touchdowns last year though, so if he can improve his top speed, he’d be a top-five back in college football. Weber isn’t far behind.

The backups are a bit concerning. With Antonio Williams gone to North Carolina, Ohio State has to depend on two true freshmen to back up their stars. However, Teague looked awesome in the spring game, and Snead was a top 100 recruit. Tony Alford is an outstanding running backs coach, so if either of the new guys are needed, he should have them ready.
