Georgia Bulldog Defense

For the 2018 Georgia Bulldogs, it is on the defensive side of the ball in which they should be worried. With the exit of linebacker Roquan Smith, and eight other starters from the last year, the Bulldogs will look to their previous recruiting classes and their ability to develop talent, to keep the Georgia defense intact.

The Bulldogs to have some leaders returning from their dominate defense from a year ago. They return their number two man from last season, in the following categories: tackles (J.R. Reed), sacks (D’Andre Walker), and interceptions (Deandre Baker). So there is still a strong foundation for the Bulldog defense to build around.

But the primary concern for the Bulldogs defense in terms of position, is in the secondary. A lot of inexperienced players will get their names called in the Bulldogs passing defense. One name that could become well known around the nation, is Tyson Campbell. Campbell, one of the best cornerbacks in the 2018 recruiting class, gives the Bulldog defense a five-star talent and leader for the years to come.
