3. Kent State, September 15, University Park, PA

Kent State will be an easy win for Penn State, and this will be the easiest game of the season for the Nittany Lions. Kent State finished 2-10 last season.

The Golden Flashes did bring in a new head coach Sean Lewis to help turn around the program, but this should not be a close game from the start.

Kent State will have a new starting quarterback and running back this year, but they do return their leading receiver Trey Harrell. Defensively, they return three of their four leading tacklers from last season.

Still, Kent State has not had a four-star recruit in over 10 years, and they only land a few three-star recruits each year. It is difficult to beat a team like Penn State whose worst recruits are as good as your best recruits.

Penn State should pull away early and get to play some younger guys who may not see much time throughout the season. This should be a blowout win for the Nittany Lions.

Final: Kent State 6, Penn State 55 (3-0)
