Clemson Football: 5 Bold Predictions for 2018
4. Tavien Feaster will break the school record for rushing touchdowns
I’ve already gone over how dynamic I think the offense will be, and I think Feaster will be the focal point of the offense this season.
The current record is 17 held by three different former Tigers, and I expect Feaster to reach the 20 TD mark this year.
He is one of the most underrated backs in the ACC, and if he is named the starter before week 1 I think Coach Swinney and company will be smart and get him 15-20 touches per game.
He may split carries with Travis Etienne but he will be a key player in the red zone and make the most of the opportunities given to him. Last year he scored seven touchdowns with 669 yards on the ground and this year I believe he will start the season off better than ever.
When you look at the opening month of games the Tigers face Furman, Georgia Southern, and Wake Forest, while also facing the Aggies and the Orange. He should have at least nine touchdowns in the first five games, and could well be on his way to securing a spot in New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
