3. Nick Bosa leads Buckeye defense

The name Bosa is a familiar one around Columbus. Joey was a dominate defensive end for the Buckeyes from 2013 to 2015 and was the third overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. His brother Nick appears to be following the exact same path.

The younger Bosa burst onto the scene his freshman year with extensive playing in every game in 2016.  He recorded 29 tackles and five sacks. Last year he started in seven games and improving upon his first year numbers. He tallied 34 tackles, nine sacks, two passes defensed and a forced fumble. Now as a junior and with NFL aspirations, Bosa is ready to take his game to the next level.

Bosa will have plenty of opportunities in the first month to feast with home games against Oregon State, Rutgers and Tulane.

When September ends, he should be the favorite to win the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in addition to being considered for the Lombardi Award. He will cement his place at the top of early 2019 NFL Draft boards as well.
