2. Standout stars

For the defense, linebacker Dontavious Jackson will be even better than he was last year. He has 37 career tackles, of which 19 were solo efforts — and that was as a reserve. His stats will be even better this year, because he should have the starting position in 2018.

He has blossomed under the new leadership, and has proven to be a great leader. He had stellar numbers in the offseason. He should easily nab one of the starting spots this season. He has been hiding his light under a bushel, but expect him to double his career tackles in 2018.

In the defensive back role, Stanford Samuels III is going to have an explosive year. In 2017, Samuels earned 27 tackles, including three for a loss. He also had two interceptions and a sack. He should be even better this season.

On the offensive side, the Seminoles boast lightning rod Tamorrion Terry. His size and athleticism make him almost impossible to stop, so I fully expect Terry to have a breakout season in 2018 and bring in double-digit touchdowns for the team.

I also think that Amir Rasul is going to be an intriguing player this season. A former track star, the diverse receiver/back should help to deepen the ‘Noles receiving game.
