A week removed from a big upset could poise a potential hangover for the Rebels. That won’t be the case here, though, because they draw their third opponent from outside a Power 5 conference of the season in Week 6 against ULM.

Like the Ragin’ Cajuns, the Warhawks don’t have the pieces on either side of the ball to hang tight with even a mediocre SEC team. ULM finished 5-8 last season, identical to their 2016 record with both seasons coming under the direction of head coach Matt Viator.

ULM will ride and die, once again, on the arm of quarterback Caleb Evans. The Dallas, Tx product is entering his junior year, and should be in line for continued improvement. Evans threw four touchdowns and six interceptions as a freshman before throwing 17 touchdowns and six interceptions as a sophomore.

In his only game facing SEC competition, a loss to Auburn last season, Evans completed 9-of-25 passes for 86 yards. A career worse when attempting more than 18 passes. Expect more of the same against Ole Miss.
