LB Ayodele Adeoye and S/LB DeMarvion Overshown, Texas

Texas has some major questions at linebacker entering Week 1, where they do not have very much depth entering the season. Starting middle linebacker and captain Anthony Wheeler must sit out the first half of the game Saturday due to a suspension from their bowl game last season. His backup, Jeffrey McCulloch, is probable for Saturday, but he has been dealing with a pectoral injury throughout the preseason.

Adeoye and Overshown were both going to provide more depth at linebacker, but they are both out due to knee injuries. The former four-star recruits will be missed this Saturday, but the severity of their injuries are unknown at this point, which could lead to even more missed playing time.

According to ourlads.com, Texas will likely have Malcolm Roach, Gary Johnson, and McCulloch as their starters at linebacker on Saturday, but that will change after Wheeler serves his suspension and other players become healthy again.
