LB David Reese, S Quincy Lenton, and S Shawn Davis, Florida

The impactful injury for Florida entering the 2018 season was suffered by Reese, who will likely not play against Charleston Southern this weekend. Reese was one of the top linebackers in the SEC last season after finishing the season with 102 tackles, which ranked seventh in the SEC.

Also, backup safeties will Lenton and Davis will miss the opening game. Lenton suffered a season-ending Achilles injury and Davis is listed as doubtful for this weekend.

The Gators also have multiple players that could face suspensions after an on-campus incident in May. Players facing a possible suspension include Kadarius Toney, Kyree Campbell, Emory Jones, Tyrie Cleveland, Rick Wells and Kemore Gamble according to 247sports.

Florida is not ranked entering Week 1, and new head coach Dan Mullen, who last coached at Mississippi State, will look to turn around a Florida program that has not been living up to its rich football history the past few seasons, which have included two losing seasons in the last five years.
