1. Buckeyes are in a good place to start Big Ten play

More and more in-conference games are starting to be scheduled earlier in the year and the Rutgers against Ohio State tilt was no different.

This allowed Ohio State to grab an easy, early-season win in the Big Ten. By all means, this set the tone nicely for a season that has the prospect of being a fruitful one for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State completely outperformed a Rutgers squad that struggled all day to find a rhythm offensively. The Buckeyes stifled the Scarlet Knights, who probably won’t compete in either the Big Ten East chase or for the conference title.

The Buckeyes have played two very dominating games of football in the 2018 season that is still young, but this reveals how strong of a team Ohio State is (and can be).

The Big Ten is as challenging and competitive of a conference as a powerhouse league can be but even so, the Buckeyes always seem to find themselves at the top of the standings.
