In a showdown of potential Heisman candidates (Khalil Tate) on the other side of the field. Oliver proved once again he is one of the best players in all of college football. He finished the game with five tackles, half a sack, and four quarterback hurries.

If it wasn’t for Tate’s ability to scramble with the football Oliver could have easily had two or three sacks at the end of the night. He is the catalyst for what is turning out to be a scary defense that AAC conference foes will have trouble scoring points on.

Tate threw for over 300 yards passing but had an abysmal 39.9 QBR rating. The Wildcats could not run the ball against the Cougars front seven and Oliver was the main reason for it.

Arizona ran the ball 50 (!) times for 150 yards but never really got into a rhythm. Next week Houston faces Texas Tech and if they do a good job of keeping the Red Raiders under points we could see Oliver jump up a few spots.
