5. Dwayne Haskins is nation’s top quarterback

Is Dwayne Haskins the best signal-caller in the nation? There could be a strong argument for it from Buckeyes fans.

Haskins has been lights out in his first two starts this season. After throwing five touchdown passes against Oregon State, he followed it up by going 20-for-23 with 223 yards passing and four touchdowns against Rutgers.

As good as Ohio State’s secondary has been, there is a case that the Horned Frogs have been even better in the early part of the season.

TCU is giving up only 106 yards per game through the air, and completely shut down Ben Hicks and a talented SMU offense. Haskins threw his first interception of the season against Rutgers and will need to protect the football to avoid digging the offense into a major hole.

In order for Haskins to prove he belongs in the top quarterback discussion, he will need to throw for at least 250 yards and a handful of touchdowns in a big victory for the Buckeyes.
