Ohio State Football: 5 biggest overreactions from blowout of Rutgers
1. Ohio State won’t have tough game until CFB Playoff
Is this upcoming matchup against TCU the toughest game on the Buckeyes schedule this season? Looking at the rest of the slate of games, a trip to Happy Valley could be Ohio State’s only potential chance to be upset.
If the Buckeyes can get out of that trip on Sept. 29 without a loss they will be in the driver’s seat for the College Football Playoff.
Purdue and Nebraska are starting to figure things out on the offensive side of the ball, but neither is a legitimate threat to beat the Buckeyes. Michigan State had a meltdown against Arizona State and looks like half the team it was a year ago.
The last game of the regular season is the annual rivalry game against Michigan, and until Jim Harbaugh can win a big game I am taking Ohio State 10 times out of 10.
From the outside looking in these may seem like irrational thoughts of a fanatical Buckeyes homer, but when you dive into the rest of their set of conference games you quickly realize that unless Penn State does it, the Buckeyes can go undefeated (thankfully Iowa is not on the schedule this year).
SO those are the overreactions you will hear from Ohio State fans this week. Can you name a few more? Comment below and let’s get ready for the big game Saturday night.
