Allstate Sugar Bowl – Oklahoma Sooners vs Georgia Bulldogs
The Oklahoma Sooners, led by Kyler Murray, dominated UCLA this past Saturday. Although this could be his only last year playing college football, Murray is making himself a case for the Heisman Trophy. It’s also obvious that the Sooners are the best team in the Big 12, and as of right now, the second best team is nowhere near them. Oklahoma lost to Iowa State last year but that shouldn’t be the case this season.
The Georgia Bulldogs were in a tightly contested game against the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday…up until the second half that is. In the third quarter, the Bulldog offense ignited, scoring three touchdowns on three consecutive possessions (so I guess good things do come in threes), putting the Gamecocks in a hole to steep to climb out of. Expect the same from the Bulldogs in Week 3, except it won’t be a close game and they could score three touchdowns in each quarter.
Not much has changed over the course of the first two weeks of the college football season, but the wheels are starting to turn and some big shake ups could in the weeks to come. Who knows, maybe your team will make our list next week!
